Your credit file will be damaged for six years but your current mortgage should be unaffected.

Using a broker will help you afterwards as they have access to a range of products with a history of poor credit etc. The forum has two brokers that post and have helped numerous forum members ..look for Ryan (Zebra Money) and Shaun (Select).
