Can my husband take out a mobile phone contract while I am in an IVA?
We are registered at the same address & have financial links via the mortgage.

Many of us actually in an IVA have managed, so it should be OK.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Yes he can.
Although his financial association with you may cause problems.
All you can do is go somewhere like EE or Carphone Warehouse and see. If he has been PAYG with a particular network, they may let him go contract.
Alternatively, look at the 'Shebang' network, who promise mobile phone contracts with no credit checks.
My opinions are just that: Based on my experience and being a self-employed IVA customer.

My wife got a contract with EE in the IVA no problem, they turned me down though so it's a bit hit and miss

I have been accepted for a new contract with Orange (now EE) and with another company BuyMobiles.net (2 contracts with them) with no problems whatsoever. Tesco Mobile turned me down so don't bother applying to them.

EE do seem to be accepting those in IVA's as I've just moved over to them for a new contract!. Well done EE!.

That's good news too. There was a time no one would be entertained for a mobile phone contract whilst in an IVA.

I just got a new mobile phone contract with Virgin. It was good to feel normal.

I got a sim only contract for £15.99 a month whilst on an IVA - unlimited texts/2000 any network minutes with ee! Sadly I didnt get a free phone so still stuck with my brick
affordable for the though.
