Im 2 years into an IVA with stepchgange, I live with my partner who is not involved with any of this debt- mine dates back to divorce and negative equity in the house which had to be sold. The monthly payments which are based on joint household expenditure are currently £709 of which £ 528 is my partners surplus not mine so I have to work overtime to meet payments and live at all. Is there any chance of successfully appealing this as I seem to have got nowhere with my IP on this.

This is so wrong and your partner has no liability to your debts. Furthermore, by doing overtime you are probably running up arrears which could lead to failure of the IVA.

Demand a face to face meeting with the IP and a full file review. If you only have a small surplus then you could consider failing the IVA and trying a new IP firm or even petition for bankruptcy.
