I entered into an IVA in 2007 and made all my payments. Had the usual PPI/EIF problems and signed a variation in spring agreeing that I wouldn't be pursuing any PPI claims because I've never had it mis-sold and hoped the end might be in sight. It's now a whole 2 years since I made my last payment, 7 years of impact on my credit file and feel like my life is in limbo. They told me again today it would be 8 weeks but said the same thing last June and have to admit I'm losing the will to live with it all.
Has anyone else had problems like this? How did you manage to get it concluded?

I think it's wrong the way things can go this way at the end of an IVA surely as your IP they have some obligation to finish this in a timely fashion not just to put you in a line of others awaiting the same. Always has been a bug bear of mine!
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Our closure with DFD was very fast so I know it can be done ... as Foggy says please contact Evette as I found that by emailing and keeping in touch regularly everything was sorted easily.

Thanks all, I have made multiple calls and sent emails to DFD over the years, also tried raising a formal complaint, contacting FOS & insolvency gateway but feel no further forward. All very frustrating. I'll give Evette a try in the hope she can help - fingers crossed

May I also suggest Lemony that, if Evette cannot help, that you ask to be passed through to Judith Anderton's team. Judith, who I believe is Head of Customer Support at DFD, was very helpful with us and has posted on the forum in the past. Worth a try if Evette cannot help but I am sure Evette may take this very seriously as 2 years really is too long.

Had a response back this afternoon from Ashley at DFD to say I'll have my completion within 4 weeks. Here's hoping that the end truly is in sight and I can make a fresh start. Thanks for the advice.

That's great Lemony. Ashley helped with our closure and was brilliant. She got ours closed exactly to the time scale she said so I'm sure you're in great hands now. Best wishes
