Hi, we had our IVA settled in April 2014, it was a full and final settlement and the IVA lasted 3 years. We are looking at remortgaging as our rate of interest is huge. We are paying £2500 per month, £1000 of which is capital repayment, £1500 being interest. Our house is valued at £600000 and our mortgage is £328000 so we bascially have a 50% deposit. We have some mortgage arrears from before the IVA and having been paying towards these every month. All our other bills are paid on time every month. Can anyone advise where I can go for a remortgage to try and get my mortgage payments down.
Hi. If you started the IVA in 2011 it is still a little early as it will still be on record. In the meantime I would suggest a chat with one or both of our mortgage experts, Ryan and Shaun.
You can find their details by clicking on the "Ask a Question" tab ( top left) and scrolling down to the experts details section.

IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
Re-mortgaging within the first 6 years (settled or not) is very unlikely IMO.
It would be worth speaking to your current provider to see if they will do a product change. This is not the same as a Re-mortgage. Very, very similar - just with the same lender...
