My son in law has an IVA and has 3 years left on it. He pays £120 per month and has paid this faultlessly over last 2 years. He and my daughter would like to purchase a property with the government 'help to buy scheme' but the Mortgage advice they've had so far says this isn't possible with the an IVA and i'm trying to find out if there is a way round this.

Hi. I am afraid, with the IVA on file, there is no "work around" that will allow him to be granted a mortgage.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
