Can I refuse to sign papers to claim PPI ?

i have five months left on my iva and i have been asked to sign papers to claim ppi of credit cards which i did not have when i started my iva can i refuse

You can, but you risk the IVA being failed for non-compliance. If there is no PPI let them go ahead and look :-)

I personally would sign away and let them look into it. Not worth risking the IVA failing at your stage.

At least your IVA company are looking at this now and not months after you have made your final payment.

Sign the paperwork and work with them to get your completion certificate as soon as is possible.

I don't believe that they would actually fail your IVA for non compliance, but they can sit on the completion which prevents you from moving forward.
7 years after starting an IVA I finally received a completion certificate from ClearDebt
