Happy to help! It's all a bit overwhelming at first, what with the various rules and regulations you have to get your head around, and it's a big step to take. Personally, it's the best financial move I've ever made and I'm so much better off for it. Most important, though, is the fact that the constant stress and worry about money is no longer a part of my life, which makes a massive difference. I can't emphasise enough how much of a difference it makes. And maintaining my own records is a huge part of that because it gives me a feeling of control that I never had when times were tough before my IVA - alongside the stress and worry, it was a feeling of helplessness because it felt very much like the bank was in control. And being the anally retentive listmaker that I can sometimes be, it's very satisfying having it all laid out!
I wish you the very best of luck with it all. A word of caution about Freeman Jones though; they get the job done, for sure, and you're in safe hands, but as I said in my earlier post, they're very poor at communicating with their clients, and getting through to them on the phone is nigh on impossible. They really need to work on that. Any issues I've had with them are particular to my own situation, so I won't go into them here as I don't want to give you any cause to worry! There's really no need to. You've done the right thing and I wish you every success.
IVA? Best financial decision I ever made.
