My partner has an Iva (because of a past relationship) and has just started her year 1 payments of 5. I am looking to buy my first home soon. I will be the owner but I want my partner to move in with me, will this effect me in any way? Or will her iva repayments go up? Can we get a joint account? And lastly wen could I add her to the morgage?

Hi and welcome

Her IVA will not affect you but you will find it difficult to open a joint account with her. If you can open a joint account your own credit record may be affected. Also her IVA will need to be off her credit file[6 years from start] before you can add her to any mortgage
