Yes, I have a Barclays Cash Card Basic Account and it's brilliant, have all my direct debits there and also have a debit card, no overdraft. It's very simple to set up just need to pop in any branch, can highly recommend.

I can recommend Barclays cash card account too.

I opened it in-branch, quickly and easily. Barclays was one of my creditors and they still accepted me.

Excellent online service too.

Tell them you are in an IVA when you go to open the account. It saves a step because they will skip the credit check.
One pay-cheque away from oblivion!

I have a CO-OP account. Does everything I need to do. Been with them now for 5 years and found there online and phone banking has always been excellent (British call centre).
Tempting fate here but never had a problem, couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Why have Natwest closed your account? are they one of your creditors worried now as we also bank with them.

Hi there. My IVA company recommended THINK MONEY. They split your account for you by keeping the money to pay for all your bills (including your iva payment) and put over on to a card the money left over that you can spend. You cannot go overdrawn even if you try. They charge a fee of about £17.50 (cant remember the exact fee) but about £21,50 ish if there are two of you.

Not a big fan of Co-Op since they stiffed me at the start of my IVA. However I've had no problems using Barclays and Ffrees both of which have been excellent.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Did you have Natwest as your bank prior to entering the IVA and they are one of your creditors or is this a new account that they have closed down?
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Can you expand on how coop stiffed you please ? I have just opened such an account yet but not started using it. The IVA proposal is in motion, so opened as a non IVA'er but you're the second person who has cast doubt over this account.

Was coop one of your creditors ?

I know a swallow doesn't make a summer but just curious as my wages would be paid to said account.

Thanks
