Hi all, hope your all well. I recently had to change my job as I was on a temporary contract and needed something a bit more secure as I have a baby on the way. DFD has gave me 3 months off in the meantime but my new wage is a lot lower ( I take home about £700 less). I pay £418 a month to my iva so I know I'm going to be struggling to pay anything especially with added financial burden of the new baby. My question is what will DFD do? Will they fail the iva or except payments to date as a F&F? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
At this stage I would hope they will consider payments to date. This will certainly be helped it you have manged any extra payments in the past or have had any PPI paid in, as this will bring you closer to the expected dividend.

IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
Well, the PPI would have been about 16 payments so you must be close to what they expected to get when they signed up.
I hit my expected dividend half way through my IVA and circumstances meant that I could no longer make payments. My creditors agree payments to date. They are not ogres, and, as long as you have the support of your IP, will consider such circumstances.

like foggy i would hope they would accept payment to date ... its clear your new income will not allow for you to continue your iva ...lets hope common sense prevails

There is a solution for everyone .... Just need to stay positive !
Very disappointed with DFD s response they said they could cut the payment down which I know I'm not going to have any spare money left over or it will fail therefor I will have the creditors contacting me again! Not very helpful to be honest, she did also say I could find a family member to lend me a lump sum to offer as a F&f.
