Hello,
I started an iva in 2010 which is now completed. I received a ppi refund for a loan which I took out many years before the iva started and is not included in the iva. Can I keep the refund? thanks

PPI is still a great area and not been tested in court. In the past some IP's have allowed PPI from loans outside the IVA to be retained, but the majority do not.

In broad terms an asset is an asset wherever it comes from and only your own IP can confirm which way he will jump.

On the other side of the coin, if you have had your completion certificate I am unsure of what the IP could do about it (yet to be tested).
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
