I am in the process of starting my IVA I'm with Barclays but some of my debt is with Barclay Card. My first IVA payment comes out on the 13th March so I need a new bank account, I have appt with Santandere on the 9th March to open account. Have I left it to late? I looked at the criteria for Nationwide and they won't give you an account with an IVA. Please help I don't know what to do.

Try Coop basic account, Yorkshire Bank might or some of the paid accounts like Secure Trust.

However you are likely to have left it too late purely based on the time it takes to set up some accounts, get passwords etc.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

As suggested, try the Co-op Cashminder Account. Many of us use this one ( including me - I have two), basic, but functional. Indeed I am out of my IVA and still use the cashminder.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

I use Secure Trust and although it is fee paying I have no intention of changing when I come out of the IVA - nothing can ever be bounced leading to additional fees.

We got had a coop account, it's perfectly functional and have no plans to move or change it now that we're completed.

Are you sure you need a new account?

One of my Creditors was Barclaycard and I opened a cash-card account with them after the IVA had started!

They accepted me no problem. Maybe your old account will continue to work?
One pay-cheque away from oblivion!
