Hi... My f&f was recently accepted, unfortunately during my IVA my marriage broke up and now I'm living in my brothers spare room. Will it be difficult to rent a property now even though my IVA has officially ended and I have a good job ?

You may require a guarantor or a large security deposit if you use an agency. However if you use a private landlord with no access to credit files a reference from a previous landlord may suffice.

Hi sorry to hear about the break up and taking Michael's advice you should be able to get yourself a property to rent.

Unfortunately, credit files will be shot for 6 years from date of the acceptance of your IVA.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I would add that, if you use an agency, be upfront before they run a search, as many charge for the privilege.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
