Hi, I am just about to contact my iva company and ask about a full and final payment, a good friend has offer to help me out but doesn't want to get involved or contacted by the iva company. Can anyone offer any help or advise on this?

Many thanks

All he needs do is provide a letter confirming the funds are his, available for the f&f only and will be retained should the offer be refused. Some IP's will also want a copy of his bank statement to confirm the funds. This is for money laundering protection.

You can only explain the situation to your IP and hope that he can work around your friends reticence.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

They will also request to see the third party's ID and proof of address, so a passport and utility Bill, or a driving licence.

What a great friend you have. I hope your IP is understanding.

I have a friend who has the money that would help me but I can never divulge the IVA. Just too embarrassed.

If only it was so easy as to ask a friend to help settle debts, they put money in your account and you in turn paid your IP..........

The very best of luck with it. Let us know how it works out.

hi,

as others have mentioned, they do need to provide a letter/email stating the amount they are paying, and show proof of bank statements and ID for anti money laundering purposes - I don't believe there is a way around this.

thanks and good luck!
F&F Accepted on 12th March 2015!
