I have just been told that an application for permission to appeal to the Court of Appeal has been lodged but not yet determined.

This could drag on.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Thanks for the update Foggy.
Hopefully as I signed the spotty letter years ago and have already realised all my PPI for GT this shouldn't delay my CC <fingers crossed>.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues

Thanks Foggy for update.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Banks with their old tricks of petitioning, nothing changes -they lost the ppi case but did win something from the bankcharges case.
So they wouldn't let the iva chappies win on this PPI battles.
They want a fight so give them one in the courts of course.
A win for the underdog would be a great confidence builder.
It is all about money the Banks would lose for not appealing that is what they care about, not right or wrong.

The only winner here is the IVA companies - I actually have some sympathy for the banks.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.
