Welcome to the forum. I would seek support from your IP and ask for a payment break to enable repairs or a replacement .... any break in payments are tagged on the end of the iva or made up over the time left - agree this with your IP so you know exactly what is required
Sharing from experiences of dealing with debt

There is a solution for everyone .... Just need to stay positive !

Look at my blog "All I wanted was a baby"

There are boiler rental firms -- I think a few here have used -- maybe someone in the know will come along and tell us about it. Other than that a break would be the best option.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

everlasting boilers by a shade greener no credit check no up front fees but you have to pay monthly for at least 10 years but its still a good deal

Hi, we applied for a charitable grant and got a brand new boiler fitted. It took about 6 weeks, we just had to send them 3 quotes and a basic I&E. It's well worth looking at, if you can bear to be without hot water to that amount of time. We were lucky that it was during the summer!

Good luck, hope this helps.
