I have an IVA - when applying for a job - such as in a university do I admit under Criminal Records Disclosure that I have an IVA? Is having an IVA a criminal record? Cheers

It is not criminal. I have had criminal checks a couple of times for work and it's never been an issue.

The old CRB check has been replaced by the DBS check. Any civil action (which this) will not be shown.

Certain types of jobs do require a credit check plus other roles require checks that go further than a DBS.

If in doubt be honest at the beginning.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

Its nothing to be ashamed of being in an IVA - virtually everyone I know is in debt of some kind. Some of us just get over our heads
IVA complete March 2014 after 6 years.
