hi,
I was declared bankrupt in 2007 so I took out an IVA in dec 07, I defaulted on the IVA and luckily have heard nothing since. I am now trying to improve my credit file. The bankruptcy has dropped off my file now but the IVA is still on there. On my credit file it states amount 0.00 and it is dated 21.12.07. The last correspondence I have from the court is april 09. Will this drop off my report as its now over 6 years or do I have to get something signed from the court to say its been over 6 years even though I defaulted?
Thanks

You should have been given a notice of termination by your IP, and a copy sent to the Insolvency Service and the CRAs.

However, I cannot understand why you took out an IVA having been previously declared bankrupt and undischarged ---- you would have had no debts to include in an IVA!

Im not sure about the notice of termination. would I have been sent this when I defaulted? If I do have this do I send a copy to the CRA? If I don't have this can I still get a copy?

Its a long story a debtor wanted to make me bankrupt but I didn't want to lose my property so was advised to take an IVA and pay off any other debts too.
Thank you :)

You should have got a copy and a copy would (should) have been sent to the IS who then report to the CRAs.

Is the IVA on the Insolvency Register ? If not then the relevant paperwork would have been issued. You might be able to get a copy from your ex IP.

I will have a look for a copy. Its still on my credit report though.
No I have checked the insolvency register and im no longer registered on there.
So if I find a copy I can forward it to the credit agencies

Does it show as current, failed or completed on your credit report ? Still -- the fact that it is no longer on the Insolvency Register should be good enough for the CRAs.
