I have been in an IVA for 17 months. My car is old 2005 plate and I keep getting large bills for repairing it and keeping it on the road. Can I look at a long term lease car. If so can you recommend anybody?

Only firm I know of is Moneybarn ( there are others if you Google -- but their reputations are an unknown). You will need to discuss this with your IP.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

If you work in the NHS see if you can make use of the salary sacrifice scheme.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

Not sure about leasing, if your employer has a scheme it may be worth looking into that.

You would need your IP's go ahead to try a lease or purchase of a replacement.

I got a broker to look for the finance for me and the only one they could find while in an IVA was Moneybarn.

Moneybarn has certain conditions for their loans.
The car has to be under 10 yrs old at the end of the loan period.
The min amount borrowed is £5000 with a min deposit of £400.
They will only lend the trade value of the vehicle, so that £400 deposit may have to be more but hopefully your current vehicle would make up the difference anyway.

Good luck
