Hi,

Can someone please confirm when my IVA is removed from my credit report.

My IVA is dated 29/07/2009 so I am now past the 6 year milestone however I still have 2 more payments to make to Freeman Jones for extra money earnt over the period of my IVA. News that was broken to me the month I should have officially ended my payments (which was never highlighted during my annual reviews).

I've been told the IVA will remain on the credit reports indefinately until Freeman Jones reports it has been discharged, is this correct?

An IVA normally stays on record for 6 years, assuming it completes within that time. In your case it will disappear shortly after your completion certificate is issued, which would be a couple of months after your last payment if there are no problems.

It will remain on your credit report, under the public information section, until your IP informs the Insolvency Register that your IVA has concluded
