I wondered if you can assist me. My mother, father and I have been offered the right to buy our council home at an amazing price of 44k with a value of 74k.
I had an IVA in 2008 and completed it all up to date in 2012 and my credit is fair after trying to rebuild it. My father was made bankrupt 7 years ago and we called up Natwest and they refused to go any further with the application once my IVA was mentioned.
I'm very upset after trying so hard to get back on track. We have the deposit also and I have a 35k a year job with only one credit bill of under 2k and dad has a good wage and no credit.
Is there a way of getting a mortgage for 40k between us with anyone who's rates aren't extoriante. I really want to do this for my future and I'm just disheartened it won't happen, we only have twelve weeks to act upon this application quote from the council.
Help would be appreciated from an expert as I couldn't find the link to message them direct.
We have two experts who specialise in mortgage deals for thos with past credit issues. Ryan or Shaun ...there contact details are under the experts tab or via the A-Z of members. I can personally vouch for Ryan having had two mortgages via him since our iva ended.

There is a solution for everyone .... Just need to stay positive !
Based on what you say your chances are pretty good butNat West was definitely the wrong place to go I'm afraid. It's important to make sure your application is placed correctly and this is where a specialist adviser with experience in this area can help.
