If I managed to pay off IVA, would I be able to get a mortgage ?

hi
i am 2 years into an IVA, but have the oppitunity to buy my housing assocition house at a discount, it seems daft not to take up this oppitunity, if i somehow managed to borrow money ( a freind) pay off the IVA, would i then be able to get a morgage?

Not until your credit files are clear ( 6 years from the start of the mortgage). It is, in some circumstances, possible before then, but this will depends upon many things.

I would suggest a chat to a whole of market broker with experience in adverse credit, like Ryan and / or Shaun whose details can be found under the "Ask a Question" tab ( top left" and scrolling down to the experts details section.

You would as foggy suggests be best advised to apeak to Ryan or Shaun. As expert mortgage brokers they will discuss your options fully and timescales.

Sorry to say but there are no lenders who would consider a RTB unless you had paid it off over 3yrs ago
