I have completed my iva with dfd in june 13 with a certificate of closure, i have now recived a ppi award but has beenn sent to dfd, with my my certificate in place where do i stand, if i am debt free then i should have no ties wirh the letter of completion ? I havent defaulted on any of my repayments ,many thanks!
Unfortunately generally any ppi claim is an asset of the iva pre or post completion.
Irrespective the award was sent to dfd so whoever has awarded it has decided that is the safest thing to do.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.
My IVA completion letter does not state this, but my husbands has a caveat in there that if any PPI is claimed then it will go to the company.
