Would it affect my IVA if I set up my own company. I am a nurse.

Get expert opinion. This is the place for new questions to be posted.

As long as your income could cover your agreed payments there would be no problem. However, getting a business account might be a different matter.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

It shouldn't but you may hit problems if you need a business bank account.

A lot will depend on how you are paid, turnover, use of agencies. etc.

Using an Umbrella company might be a consideration.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

Hi

You will just have to notify your IP of any extra net income, also check to make sure that you can obtain public liability insurance[if needed]as this can be difficult if you are in an IVA

Good luck

Unfortunately its not "just notify IP of any extra income."

Your IP needs to be used to be dealing with the self employed or someone with multiple incomes.

If you get an accountant make sure they are aware you are in an IVA.
