I have started a new job and my childcare as gone from £150 to £500 a month my iva is only £626 but i don't see how i can afford it also they would not be able to knock an extra £350 off a month surely.

The only way to find out is to try -- it is better to find a solution rather than let the arrangement fail.

How far in are you and who are you with ?
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Hi there, as Foggy says worth putting forward. Is there any help out there with childcare costs, I've no idea as mine are all grown up so not knowledgeable I just know my daughter gets some help for some reason. Hope you get it sorted very soon.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I do hope it's resolved very soon after they've looked into it.

I have every sympathy. I for one found that due cutbacks etc I have to pay for school bus transport which I have to absorb myself Extra £150 per month. It is like swimming against the tide sometimes. You have got to remain positive thought! I personally feel like there are constant hurdles , and if you step outside your IVA rigid boundaries you will feel the wrath of your IP. My next boundary is that I have to work over 250 miles away from my home and find accommodation for myself and somehow absorb tHe cost. My only saving thing is that My mortgage is up for renewal and can reduce my mortgage due interest rates being low, and effectively balance things out. Dread asking my IP for advice as worried they will want any savings from my mortgage without understanding my situation

Your ip isn't necessarily the problem -,it's the staff who work for them.

First of all see if extra expenditure only reduces your payments by 15%.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.
