I have been free of my iva since march 2014 and I am looking to move. I have been told six years by my local advisor before I get a mortgage offer from mainstream lenders. My question is, are there any lenders who will give me a re-mortgage. I have about 35k equity in my property. Oh yes to make things worse I am currently mortgaged with NRAM so can't do anything there.
Please advise

Hi. Your local advisor is, sadly, mis-informed.

I would advise that you have a chat with one of the whole of market brokers who post on forum; Ryan and / or Shaun, who have helped many ex-IVA'ers get mortgages.

Their details can be found by scrolling down the page on this link, to the Experts Details section:

http://www.iva.co.uk/forum/forum_experts.asp
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
