So annoyed....started the ball rolling on our f&f offer on 11th may

by mid June they said they had everything they needed

Last week I got a text asking me to ring them and apparently they didn't have everything - the offer letter hadn't been signed by the person offering the funds so emailed that over on Friday.

Lady i spoke to said it would be rushed through now as a matter of priority

Called in today to make sure they had received letter, only to be told it will take another 8 weeks!!!

I had a bit of a paddy on the phone at their incompetence of waiting 6 weeks to tell us info was missing so apparently they will escalate it now but I doubt that

I have lost my job so our outgoings are more than our income and I have no idea how we will pay next months payment

Grrrrrrrrrrr :-(

Does anyone know if there are any timescales they have to work to?

Hi, I totally understand your frustration, I'm hoping they escalate this for you. Hope you receive that meeting date soon and all is finally concluded.

I'm not sure if there's a definite timescale but sure someone else will know.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I don't think there are any timescales - mine took five months from start to finish.

Impress upon them the urgency as you have no money to make next months payment.

I don't know how enshrined this is in procedure, but, generally the IP should present an offer within 21 days, although it often does take a little longer, giving 28 days Notice of the variation meeting. I would consider anything over three months in total, without a valid explanation, to be unreasonable and would warrant a complaint.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

If you are unable to pay next months payment they should be supporting you by way of offering you a break or reduced payment as part of the f&f offer in my opinion

Well as expected, they didn't ring me so I had to spend the usual 45 minutes on hold waiting to speak to someone

Drafters hadn't picked it up so the lady I spoke to left me on hold for another 25 minutes while her manager physically put it on the urgent pile

She says I should have the draft within 2 weeks but kept stuttering so I do wonder if she was being truthful

Told me to ring back on 24th to see if it's been done

Once I have it and confirm its correct they can set the variation for 14 days from that date so fingers crossed they pull their fingers out

Keep reinforcing that the offer is reduced every time you make a normal payment and that any delays are purely linked to the iva company.

Damn autocorrect - it almost did ova again rather than iva!
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

Would suggest you put something in writing (and getting written confirmation from them in writing) so you can consider making formal complaint in due course if needed...

I will chase them this Friday and if it hasn't been picked up for draft yet I will be advising them that an official complaint will be made
