Good afternoon Forum members, I need some advise from you if possible.
My Wife who is not connected in any way shape or form to my IVA is thinking of going back to work for 15 hours(£120) a week for a short 9 month period, this would be in her own bank account and would cover her transport costs etc.....would I need to declare this to the IP although my Wife is not connected to my IVA at all....any help or guidance would be appreciated

She may be expected to contribute towards household income.

If you are with Payplan they take whole of household income into account.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

You should speak to your IP and do an up to date I&E. There may be little or no change to your payments as she will have travel, meals at work etc of her own but it would keep everything right.

Hi. At the very most your payments to the IVA might increase slightly for the 9 months on the assumption she will be able to contribute to the household expenses leaving you a bit more disposable income.

Albeit a small amount and for a short time I would say declare it to your IP -- better that than any little surprises further down the line. How they react will depend upon who you are with.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
