Your income will be taken into account for household expenses only. You could put him down as a lodger and charge him rent.
Don't take anything into joint names otherwise your credit rating will be affected.

It should not affect you at all as you have no obligation to his debts or insolvency practitioner. If he pays a rent then you may need to confirm this but otherwise there is nothing to be concerned about.
Unless he is with payplan who apparently take total household income into account.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.
I'm with PayPlan and they account for what my partner gives me as 'income from lodger' and never asked for his income details just how much he gives me per month (which is what I lost in CTC when he moved in)

This is the best way to deal with it (especially with Payplan). Far "cleaner" and easier to keep track of.
