I'm 2 months into my iva but just had confirmation that my critical illness claim from 6 years ago is due to be paid, where do I stand with paying the iva? Is this classed as a windfall and do I need to pay in full?

It will depend on the approach of your iva company but it could be classed as a windfall.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

As said, I am afraid you are in the hands of your IP on this one.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

If this was disclosed to your IP at the time the IVA was drafted it may have been excluded. Was this claim addressed within the IVA?
