If you are in an iva getting a new mortgage may be impossible - one of the barriers will be getting your ip's approval let alone find a mortgage lender willing to help.
Post iva a lot will depend on when you get your cc, how quickly the iva drops off your credit file etc.
There are a couple of specialised people who may be able to help under ask the expert and it would be worth speaking to them first before you start anything.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.
