Hi all

In the process of the clean up and improve following my completion in August [:D]

I have an Aqua card that has a relatively small limit of £300.00 on it.

I have got this with the intention of getting my fuel on it and have set a direct debit up to clear the balance each month.

My problem is that I feel a bit uncomfortable when it hits the over £100.00 mark so end up paying it off with a debit card payment before the direct debit is due. (A bit different to 6 years ago[:I])

Is doing this not helping my credit rating improve? I know I will have the money to clear it when the direct debit is due, but really don't like the idea of the balance getting higher. I know I could just switch and use the debit card but then its almost defeating the object.

Cheers

All OK ... as long as you use it and pay it off you will be getting the green ticks, you don't have to wait until the due dates.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
