I have been made redundant and due to complete next month. Can I claim JSA contributions ?

hi, i have been made redundant in the last 2 months, my iva has taken a lump sum away from me and has left me 6 months money i am due to complete next month my question is can i claim jsa contributions and if i do will i have to tell my iva company, i think it would be around the £70 mark each week

Hi and welcome,

You should be able to claim the allowance but you need to keep your IP company in the loop - did they give you a payment break or will the next two payments finish it off totally?

You would be entitled to the contributory benefit but if you sought anything means tested you may have a problem

yes one more payment in october been out of work for a couple of months so if i found work now would have to give them back 4 months salary as they originally allowed me 6 months
