hello i am x british forces living and working in Germany .i was medical discharge from the army in 2007 . I also have an account with HSBC in the uk ,wich i receive 125 uk pounds everymonth without fail under the armed forces compensation scheme . I would like to come back to the UK to live ,but i have a car here on finance. The payments go through Santander in Germany .is there anyway that IVA could help me ? if i was to pay 125 a month to IVA so my car can be paid off . I worried i will be stuck in Germany until the car is paid off . thanks for your help john

Hi and welcome,

Do you have any debts other than this?

I have no idea on the finance part of things - is there anyway you could pay this off beforehand for you?

if i had the money on my UK account ,i could transfer it onto my German account and pay for the car .i was trying to look for maybe a loan company in the uk that would handle monthly payments of 125 ..it would mean i would lose that money everymonth ,but least i would be home.other than staying here for the next few years or i bump into abit of money ,i really dont see any other way of doing it .

You could try for a loan which would, in my opinion, be better than an IVA.

Hopefully one of the more knowledgeable experts can pick up on this and advise.
