I received a letter from Working Pensions stating that I am not paying the right amounts. I agreed to pay £3.83 and the minimum payment they are saying I should pay is £35 per month. The lady on the phone was not approachable and could not explain anything.

Hi and welcome,

Forgive me for being thick but I know nothing about working pensions - hopefully one of our experts will be able to advise. Are you in an IVA?

I think you should re-contact them and ask them to recalculate your payment based on your circumstances. There may be minimum acceptance level by the department for repayments but these need to be affordable and not leave you with very little. The telephone calls will be recorded for training purposes so you could ask for that record too.
