Hi,
My final IVA payment was made on 2nd Sep 2015 ( IVA started Oct 2009 ) I am still waiting for my C of C and rang DFD to ask for an update & they said it could take up to 6 months !!!! ... I am wanting to move in to another property ASAP and emailed Zebra Money Centre for guidance but to my dismay they said I have to have my C of C , my credit report has to be fully clear & I also have to be off the insolvency register , ... It feels like its going to take forever ...

Hi and welcome,

Sorry to hear of your problems regarding the mortgage - you do need that all important completion and once you have that then you will come off the Insolvency Register but that can take up to three months after the letter is received.

You can try and start to clear up your credit record now by checking to see how many companies are still defaulting you.

Hi ,
thank you for the support .. the frustrating thing is that DFD when pressed by me for my C of C said it could take up to 6 months .. I cant for the life of me see how it can take soo long ! .. Its just that I have a limited opportunity to purchase a fab house that I will just have to say bye-bye to now ..

It may be worth speaking to DFD and explaining the situation and asking if they would speed the closure along. They do monitor this forum and have representatives who have helped their clients before so no harm in asking.

Yes put the pressure on. It only takes a couple of hours at most to write the final report and send it out together with the CC. No idea why some firms take months to do this, its wrong.

I agree with Lisa, put the pressure on, your life is on hold and you want to move forward.

Fingers crossed you can get this sorted ... I know the people at Zebra and they wouldn't have advised this if there was a way round things. Contact DFD and continue putting pressure on them. Don't give up hope !

Hi,
just an update on this .. DFD have confirmed that they are waiting for debtors to register claims and they have till the 26th November or they will loose their right to any monies from my IVA fund .. They have also confirmed as soon as this date passes they will try and fast track my Certificate of Completion ... fingers crossed !
