I have finally been told over the phone that my IVA is to end in Dec after 5 years of payments. They have confirmed that I will receive confirmation via the post.I have been chasing Debt Free Direct for months for an update.
Question.
My payments are £352 month which is challenging due mainly due to 3 children but I am happy and have paid each month. My issue is after my end review I am being asked to pay.
Nov £685
Dec 635
This is quite a large increase and seems strange it's for the last to payments. To pay these amounts i will have to ask my brother for help which. If I was h able to get this help I would be h able to pay these amounts.
Should I challenge these payments?
Any stories of simulate instances for anybody else?
You are entitled to ask what this is about. It is possible that there is unpaid overtime for example which has been picked up and they are adding this money to the final payments. If this is the case then you could extend by a couple of months rather than borrowing the funds but it may indeed be a mistake.
Ask DFD where the figures came from and perhaps email Laura who posts here. She seems to do an excellent job for DFD clients.
DFD seem to have a habit of finding additional monies owing as IVA's are coming to an end at the moment.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

Regards,
Hi. I emailed Laura, but haven't heared anything back yet.
I did phone debt free direct up and spoke to a lady Called Andrea. She stated that they have my wife down as part-time which she is,but she is on maternity leave, therefore not on the same money.I have been advised to forward my wife's next payslip to them so it can be reviewed and hold my payment untill they come back to me with hopefully the same amount I normally pay which is manageable.
I have already supplied them with documentation stating that she is on maternity leave and the payments she will received.which is a officially document from her company.
When you send them that evidence ask them for the written explanation of the increase in contribution at the same time. Send your letter recorded/registered post so you have evidence they received it.
Dear Garydr35
If you have forwarded the information to ourselves please send an email to the email address in my profile so I can ensure this is picked up asap.
Many Thanks
