I'm looking to rent a new property, my creditors meeting is in just less than two weeks. If I submit my credit profile and statements now to letting agents, how long have I got until the iva will show on my credit profile? My understanding is that if I found somewhere new in the next week or two I wouldn't have to disclose to any future landlord until after the creditors meeting?
A lot will depend on your current credit rating but the iva will not show until after it has been agreed.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.
Personally I would move quickly and hopefully your credit file has not been too damaged yet. The proposals will have been circulated and likely payments missed so the quicker you move the better.
