We are splitting up but, the IVA is in my partners name only. Can he sign the house over to me ? What are my options ? We have been in the house, which is in both our names, for a few months. Can I get a council tax reduction ?

If it is a joint mortgage you may have to see whether you can get a mortgage in your own right.

Unfortunately worse case may be requirement to sell house on his side.

You need to seek legal advice plus advice from mortgage lender.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

There are issues as to who paid the deposit and who paid the mortgage to be considered. I agree that legal advice would be advisable as that property would have to have been addressed within his IVA.
