Hi, I'm a teacher whose iVA is up in August. Also 6 years since it began due to maternity break. I have not missed any payments. I earn £34000 a year and my husband £20000. My mum is putting up a £18000 deposit for us. Likelihood of getting mortgage in August or shortly after?

Speak to Ryan or Shaun under ask the experts.

From what I have seen they normally say that iva needs to be off your credit record which should happen as soon as you have your completion certificate.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

Sounds like it may be possible so speak to one of the mortgage experts.

Hi,
Happy to discuss things now so you are all ready for August.
You will need your completion certificate and all credit files clear to get the best rates.

Hoping that Ryan or Shaun will be able to help. Worth a chat at least to find out what you need to do to make this happen. All the best.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
