Hi ,can I change the company that are dealing with my IVA. I feel bullied by them. every other couple of months, I get a form from them demanding I fill it in and send it to a company (who obviously pay a retainer)about PPI, I did this earlier in the year due to harrassment, and as I tried telling them I have no PPI entitlement, yet they keep coming. I am trying my best but this company is getting me down. Thank you.
It is very difficult to change IPs after the IVA has been approved. It may be better to try and keep records of everything and if they persist put in a complaint.
Hi Dan - I'm afraid you can't change your IP as Michael says. But if you've already answered their questions about PPI and can prove that you gave this to them in writing then I suggest you write and remind then that you already gave them this information on xyz. Send all future corres by recorded/registered post and that way there can be no argument they didn't receive any info from you. You can then escalate via the complaints procedure if necessary.
Thank you for your replies. one other concern I have is, my disposable income has become less, and will do so again when I have to go into my works pension scheme (I work for a local authority, and could not afford it so had to opt out, but things are changing). When I explain this to the company, it is ignored.
They usually do a review every anniversary of the IVA. If your position has changed so that you cannot afford your original contribution level you need to ask them to consider varying the contributions. They usually have the discretion to reduce your contributions by 15% without the need to call a variation meeting and consult creditors. If they are ignoring you I suggest again that you need to put this in writing properly so there can be no argument you haven't raised this with them and you have scope for a complaint in future if necessary.
Ask for a 15% reduction in payments which usually can be done without any extension to the arrangement or approval from creditors. Any larger reduction would need a new meeting of creditors but theyu usually vote through reductions anyway. Send the details to your IP and again keep records if your firm is slow to react.

Isnt it a shame that we have to resort to threats of complaints?
You can't do DMs but you can feel free to contact me direct through my contact details. Yes it is a shame but sometimes it seems this is the only way to be heard and dealt with properly by some firms! This forum is very useful to a lot of people!
