Hi
When you check my name on the insolvency register it states my IVA was completed 4/11/15. Why is my name still on there? I thought once completed your name drops off especially as it states completed

Officially it can take up to 3 months to be removed. For some it takes that long, for others it can be a matter of weeks or just days.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues

Agree with Merlin - if it doesn't drop off beforehand then check the Register at midnight on the date of the 3rd month and it will have disappeared.

I rang them once our uva had concluded and they confirmed receipt of notification to end iva etc and then arranged to remove our record within 48hrs .. just back three days later and our record had gone. It might be worth ringing them if you would rather not wait the 3 months

I know Foggy persisted on ringing them but it made no difference to him, even though it was just after mine had disappeared after two week - they told him this just would not happen!

I am in a similar situation. The report does have a footnote stating that names will remain on the register for upto 3 months irrespective of how your completed your IVA. So guess its just a waiting game - just 3 more months

we completed our IVA 11/09/2015 & after reading post on here contacted the insolvency service to see if they would remove our names from it the the reply was they would not remove our names untill 3 months from the date they were informed of the completion which was 18 / 09 so it would not be removed before January 2016.I e-mailed back saying that would be 4 months from completion date answer back was the information i was given was right & names would not be removed before[:(]

That register is wrong on so many counts and should only be visible to those that need to know not all and sundry but that's a complete new topic, sorry but makes me very angry thinking about it.

Hope you're off soon and can move forward content in the thought that you're debt free
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Kind of explains the antiquated reasoning http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/help ... t-debtors/
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

What a different world it would be if there was still a debtors prison!
