As the title suggests I am just curious more than anything as I did have to move bank, but, before my IVA one of my creditors was my bank I was with for almost 30 years. What happens to those accounts that were frozen once they are notified of completion? Will they un-freeze them and I can use them again? Or am I likely to be on their 'no' list forever?
Depends which bank it is - HSBC and First Direct probably won't touch you and the accounts probably would have been closed anyway rather than frozen.

Was RBS, they were a creditor so was more in case I needed to still request a manual closure. I dont need them. If they pop back onto my online banking then I will close them but like you said they are closed already then most likely.
They probably have already closed them but I wouldn't worry. Just stick with the bank you are using now.

Mine were closed as soon as the IVA started but then again one of them was HSBC!

That is interesting - my IVA has completed and Natwest froze 2 of my accounts (one was an ISA with around £200 and one a current account with around £800) neither of those accounts had a negative balance but the credit card i held with them did but they froze both accounts. I have been getting statements from the bank relating to the accounts so i went into the bank to try and close the accounts but they refused to close them as they said i still owed them money. I explained that i had completed my IVA and had paid 100% but they said that they had not received any money so until they did they would not be able to close the account. I checked my paperwork and it seems that they never made a final dividend claim - not really sure where to go now with it.
IVA started Jan 2012
Last payment made June 2014 @100p
Completion certificate received Sept 2014
I'm surprised they didn't offset the £800 against the credit card debt. If they didn't make a claim in the IVA that's their problem - you could send them your CC and ask them to update their records (this might also help tidy up your credit rating on the assumption they still show the debt as o/s) but I doubt you will see any of the money back anyway if your c card debt was over £1k.
