Hi ,
I am one month away off completing an IVA with Debt free direct done extra year as no funds to re mortgage .They are now asking me to sign a variation consent form and a deed of assignment.Dont know what to do ??

The variation is to do with PPI - no worries about that one. They should issue you with completion within a few months.

Thanks for your reply .
I have no problem with ppi issue it is the variation on changing the terms of the original agreement .
Could they make me take out a loan even though I have done the extra year.
It is a 2014 variation

Simple answer - no.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

Once the extension has happened the property should be excluded so no further borrowings should be required. You should certainly sign the deed of assignment as this will allow the IVA to close but you would be entitled to question why there is any need for changes to the terms and conditions.
