If you have a accident whether a car or workplace,if you receive compensation do you have to declare it as a windfall.I'd like to add I have not had an accident or received compensation I was curious.
Today 1st of December 2016 the vultures finally flew away

It does have to be declared, however, many (if not most) IP's will treat compensation for pain and suffering in the same way as it is usually dealt with under bankruptcy and allow you to keep it. Some, however, don't.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

If it does happen (hopefully not in your IVA) then it is yours to keep.

Otherwise agree with Foggy.
