Hi, we are 24 months into our IVA and need a new sofa. Can we get credit at DFS? I recently took out a new contract and phone with ee and the credit check was fine. Thanks

No you cannot obtain further credit. A utility contract is a different animal.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Hi,

Agree with Foggy - you won't be able to get any further credit without checking with your IP.

I would have a word with your IVA company to see if you can get a months payment break and get one that way.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues

Alternatively, although may not be ideal there are often secondhand ones on the buy it sell it Facebook groups etc that may well see you through to the end of your IVA when you can look forward to a new one. Hoping you find something
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

My suite is also on its last legs but I too will have to wait another 3 years , you have to sit on a pile of cushions on mine to stop you sinking , but I can wait #128522;
