Hi all, we finished our IVA in Dec 2013 and this week received a letter from "Consumer Advisory Service" stating that, "Due to a recent High Court decision that ruled in favour of completed IVA holders ........ it is likely that monies may now be owed to you in respect to the return of charges previously paid by you." It has a freephone number attached. I was wondering if anyone else has received such a letter and if it is a scam which should be reported. To finish off I haven't been on the forum for a while but would like to thank you all for the encouragement and support you gave us throughout our IVA you really were the strength we needed at various times and we will always be grateful. To those struggling on, keep at it, it does end and is so worthwhile.
Life after IVA is wonderful.

The#375; are sending these out all over the place. The court case is still ongoing. Personally I'd ignore it.

The court case to which we think they are referring is still ongoing. If it does go in our favour I imagine we will be able to claim easily enough ourselves without losing fees to an ambulance chaser.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Worth hanging on and as Foggy says, if it's in the favour of the IVA client then we may be able to claim ourselves. Keep an eye on the forum as I'm confident it will be updated here.

Thank you for your kind words in respect of the forum.

There are loads of threads about to do with this - they've been sending them out for years (obviously biding their time!)
