Hi I have been chasing Knightsbridge for 14 months now after I did a full and final a few weeks ago they said it had gone for closing down when I get my completion certificate will it be dated with when the full and full was agreed or this crazy length of time later they seem to have been dragging their heels? Also if I'm due a remortgage at the end of the year o know the iva will show but I oolily had a couple of defaults as entered the iva before got out of hand will this go in my favour? Thanks

The certificate will be dated the day it is issued. It makes little difference really as the IVA will remain on your credit files for 6 years from the start.

Have you checked your credit files recently ? You might well find that most of your creditors have defaulted you in the meantime, again, these will disappear at 6 years, once the CC is issued.

Hi and welcome. Been 14 months since you completed a Full and Final and you've not received your certificate...far too long in my humble opinion. Sincerely hope this is received very soon.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

hi i know it stays 6 years but surely if it had been sorted quickly when i come to remortgage they would see i got straight a lot quicker and this is delaying that update to my credit file. as i have understood only defaults before IVA can stay and thus when i have compeltioncertificate i will only have 2 small defaults before IVA started then the iVA itself and it only being actually active 2 years thanks again

I doubt they will look past the IVA itself, which will be on your files until 2020, regardless of when you finished or get the certificate.

Your creditors, in the IVA, can add defaults at any time, but must date them on or around the start of the IVA -- they will then sit there until 2020.
