hi,

my iva is now closed, but it still appears on my Experian report...

How do I get it removed from the insolvency register?

How do I get the creditors to update my credit file?

Can I now sell my house without effecting the 'closed' iva?

Hi ... in order of asking:

It will stay on your reports for 6 years from the start date.

Your IP will advise the Insolvency Service who will remove the entry within three months of receipt of the completion certificate.

See here: http://debtcamel.co.uk/credit-file-after-bankruptcy/

You can sell your house, providing you have your completion certificate and any restriction placed by your IP has been lifted.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Well done on completing your iva. The iva will come off your file on the 6th anniversary of its start date - in theory you need do nothing but in reality if it doesn't drop off with a few weeks of this date I would send a copy of the completion certificate to the insolvency service and the credit agencies asking them to update their systems.
Your IP should have arranged for the restriction on your house to be lifted so selling is now a viable option.

Good luck and I hope you are able to clear your records easily and move forwards with your debt free life.

Hi, hope you manage to get the credit files cleared up and good luck with selling your house, assuming you have completion certificate.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
